Silke

Silke (she/her) is a documentary filmmaker, partipatory video facilitator, and Visual Anthropologist based in London. With over 20 years in the field, her work is rooted in fostering engagement, healing, and dialogue though storytelling. As the director of Glocal Films, a nonprofit p[roduction company, she collaborates with communities and organisations worldwide, using participatory video as a tool for social change and intercultural understanding.
Romain

Romain (he/him) approaches filmmaking with a multidisciplinary perspective, blending a background in physical theatre (Lecoq pedagogy) and Fine Art. With over a decade of experience as a film editor, he has worked on acclaimed projects such as the feature-length documentary Mother Vera, which won the Grierson Award at the London Film Festival in 2024 and the Creativity Media First Look Award at the 2023 Locarno Festival. He was also part of the editing team for the award-winning documentary Much Ado About Dying, which earned Best Director at IDFA 2022.
In 2024, he made his first directorial debut with The Backstreet, a short documentary exploring four decades of queer history through the lens of the iconic club of the same name. The film was selected for international competition at Sheffield DocFest.
He is currently part of the Sheffield DocFest Queer Realities Director Lab with his project The Next Line is a Secret.
Leo

Leo (he/him) is an award-winning freelance filmmaker based in London.
His work is driven by a deep fascination with consciousness—particularly how it emerges through the interplay of perception and memory—and what makes it uniquely human.
Before transitioning to film, Leo spent a decade working on radio projects centered around health, the environment, and education in Madagascar and Afghanistan. In 2017, he directed DisAstro, an award-winning experimental documentary that explores the effects of capitalism and Greece’s economic crisis on the landscape.
He later earned a Master’s in Animation from the Royal College of Art in London and has since released two animated films: The Everything Move (2020) and A Time Before (2024). Leo currently teaches Animation at Bath Spa University.
